Electronic Device Recycling

Frankiln County Conservation and the Landfill of North Iowa will be holding a electronics recycling day at the Conservation Headquarters building located on the south east corner of the Fair Grounds. Time for drop off is from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM. There is a $15.00 charge for TV and Computer monitors. For complete details please see the bulliten board on this web sites home page.

Mentored Youth Pheasant Hunt

This hunt is designed for local youth that would not normally have the oppourtunity or means to go hunting but have the desire to. Hunters should be between the ages of 10-15 yrs old. The hunters to be will learn about gun safety and handling, shooting skills, pheasant biology and dog demonstrations in the morning. After a hearty lunch, the hunters will pair up with their mentors and go hunting! For quetions call 641-456-4375. This event is sponsored by the Frankin County Conservation Board and the Franklin County Pheasants Forever Chapter.

Hunter Safety Education Class

Hunter Safety Education certification is required for all persons bord after Jan. 1, 1972 that wishes to buy a hunting license to hunt in Iowa. This is a 10 hour course split over three days. You must be at least 11 yrs old to take the class. The dates and times for the class is Sept. 22 & 24 from 6p.m. - 9p.m. and the 26th from 8a.m. - Noon. The class will be held at Maynes Grove Park located 4 miles south of Hampton on Hwy 65. To register for the class or for more information call 641-456-4375.

Christmas Tree Recycling

Once again Franklin County Conservation will have a Christmas Tree Recycling program this year. All lights, ornaments, stands, and wire must be removed before you drop off your tree. Drop your tree off at our shop in designated area.
This program is offered free to the public.
