Rolling Prairie Trail Complete

The Rolling Prairie Trail is complete between Coulter and Hampton. With the completion of the Trail Franklin County Conservation has had interest from community groups and individuals wanting to donate or contribute in some way to help add amenities to the trail. If you or your group would like to contribute in some way to the trail please contact the Conservation Office by calling 641-456-4375 or email the Conservation Director Jason Gooder jgooder@co.franklin.ia.us. The recent snow may have some of you asking questions regarding snowmobiles riding on trail. The main poriton of trail is open to snowmobile use. The main portion through the City of Hampton is described between Olive Ave and East City Limits of Hampton. The rest of the trail between Coulter and Hampton is also open to snowmobile use. All spurs from the trail inside the City of Hampton are not open to snowmobile traffic. Riders are expected to use caution and ride respectfully due to the possible encounter of winter pedestrian users.
